This is John Thomas "Johnny" Davis III:
John was 48 years old when he was last seen by his son as they camped in the area of Highway 162 and the 8-mile Bridge near Eel River in Covelo, California on October 24th, 2021. A rainstorm hit the area overnight that flooded the men's campsite and John's son decided to sleep in their car for safety. John elected to stay at the campsite, saying he would take down their tent and meet up at the vehicle. He never returned.
Police believe that John was swept away in floodwaters either while trying to disassemble his tent or cross the river. They located his dog a day later but were unable to find him or any of his belongings. John remains missing.
