Indigo Evoy, Mysterious Death from British Columbia in 2016.

 This is Patricia "Indigo" Evoy:

Patricia was 19 years old when she was found deceased with an unidentified deceased male in an apartment in Burnaby, British Columbia on March 10th, 2016. Her death is being "investigated" but there is nothing to indicate it's considered a homicide.

Patricia grew up in foster care and "aged out" after she turned 18. She then took up exotic dancing to support herself at the New Westminster Club. She frequently stayed at the Broadway Youth Resource Centre, a community resource that partners with Children's Services to provide housing to you put at-risk. She had recently spent about a month in the hospital fighting off an infection and because of this was facing eviction from her BYRC apartment. Patricia is one of a number of Indigenous people who "Age out" of the foster care system and find themselves in a desperate situation. Friends believe that if she wasn't pressed by an eviction and supporting herself she may not have ended up in that apartment.

Indigo is remembered as headstrong and rebellious woman who was a beautiful person but also lost. She and other family members struggled on and off with chemical dependency. May Indigo's memory be a blessing and may her family and community receive justice.

If you have any information regarding the death of Patricia "Indigo" Evoy, you are encouraged to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9533.
